Client are the Global leaders in the promotional products
industry. The Group have made a number of Company acquisitions
in recent years and have plans to continue with this strategy.
With plans to significantly develop business within the UK and
across Europe this newly created role offers a considerable
opportunity on an International scale for the right
individual. It challenges many industry conventions. Job
title, job description, role and responsibilities are
extremely flexible. Nothing is set in stone. We do not want
corporate clones and industry traditionalists. However, this
is a serious market opportunity and a serious business with
serious funding, which requires a serious operator.
The role will report to the Managing Director. It will carry
responsibility for all aspects of sales and customer
relationships, from planning to execution. In addition it will
also offer the incumbent the opportunity to work with a young
and dynamic senior management team on further Company
acquisitions across Europe.
Key objectives are: to develop and implement a strategic sales
plan based upon the existing business plan; to achieve
targeted sales volumes and value; to nurture the existing
customer relationships; to create and build new customer
relationships; to contribute to all aspects of business and
marketing strategy and to continue to build a profitable
trading and product sourcing team.
Support and team spirit will be available at start-up from the
managing director (a highly experienced business and marketing
professional) and the finance manager. You will have regular
involvement with other members of the International Executive
team and would be a key part of the management team. Dependent
upon business growth, our main staffing priority will be for
you to build a sales team.
This is a new role. We believe the potential is vast – not
just to further develop UK sales by expanding the sales team
but also as the Company continues to look at further
acquisitions throughout Europe.
· This role will not suit someone expecting a structured
corporate environment. It will suit a highly motivated
individual, able to set their own agenda and with very good
business skills and professionalism. You will set the agenda,
not work within it.
· Likely to be a sales and business professional of graduate
calibre, with experience of working in the Business to
Business industry and specifically with an understanding of
the Distributive and/or third party routes to market.
· It is probable that you are currently an ambitious national
sales manager or similar looking for an opportunity to develop
your career.
· Experience of managing accounts or markets on a European
basis is an advantage.
· An understanding of the processes involved in mergers and
acquisitions would be an advantage.
· Personal qualities will include: positive attitude,
confidence, professionalism, ambition and vision.
· Negotiable salary of c.£50,000 basic, plus substantial
bonus and car/allowance.
